This interest group offers opportunities to view visual art, as well as attend performances and selected films. Over the year expect to visit public art spaces and installations, museums, artists galleries, performance centers, theatres, and arts-oriented academic facilities. Some activities will be self-guided, and some will be organized around a speaker or docent-led tour. Come discover all the great art that NOCO has to offer.

A group for members who are interested in all types of craftwork that want to meet and share creative ideas. Gatherings may be a member’s home or at local venues. Crafts include but are not limited to: knitting, art, flower arranging and more.

Join us for Happy Hour for good books, good snacks, conversation, and community. This is a co-ed book club for those who love to read a variety of interesting books in different genres. We meet in member homes on the first Wednesday of the month from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Lit Happens is a coed reading group that meets every other month to discuss a fiction or nonfiction book and share a love of reading.

Literary Legends is a coed book club that meets every other month in members' homes to discuss literary classics. Please join us if you love classic literature or want to discover what makes a book a classic and why these books have withstood the test of time. It's a great way to share your love of reading and meet new friends.

An evening gathering of book-loving women who love to read a variety of books and enjoy discussing them over a glass of wine or other beverage.

This group meets monthly at a local restaurant. Open to all women newcomers.

This group is primarily for women that live north of Horsetooth Rd to be able to socialize, however all women are welcome to attend. We meet at different restaurants in Fort Collins that serve breakfast -- a good way to introduce you to the range of eating opportunities here.

Join other Newcomers as we enjoy coffee and conversation on the east side of I-25 in Windsor. This group is primarily for those of us who live in Windsor and Timnath and their surrounding towns to socialize but all women are invited to attend.

Fort Collins has an ever expanding collection of breweries; this group intends to explore them all-one microbrewery at a time!!!

This is for couples who enjoy entertaining in their homes. Registrants are broken up into smaller groups of 3-4 couples. Each month over a 3-4 month period you will attend a monthly dinner in each other's homes. Every couple takes a turn hosting one time during the 3-4 months. Depending on the timing, registrants may have to wait a while before the next session begins. The coordinators will email you with all the information once you sign up. This is a great way to really get to know fellow Newcomers!

Ladies Do Lunch is open to all active women of the Ft. Collins Newcomer Club. Once a month a themed potluck will be hosted in a member's home. Participants will contribute a food dish to share, according to the theme of that event. A quiet setting provides Newcomers a chance to get to know each other better.

We get together monthly and visit over breakfast and/or coffee. The discussion topics will be whatever interests the group, but we will avoid politics. We meet on the second Thursday and the last Friday of the month. Seating is limited and registration is required. We ask that members register for no more than one breakfast per month to allow more men to participate.

This group is for members who prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan meals, but is open to everyone. We will meet at restaurants that offer a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We are also open to members who are willing to host a potluck dinner at their home (hosts can determine the capacity for the potluck dinner). We have members who are vegetarian, pescetarian, vegan, dairy-free and omnivores. The group wants to find restaurants with wide food choices for vegetarians and vegans, enjoy meals with other newcomers, and have fun. We are compiling a list of restaurants that offer these food choices such as: Tasty Harmony Young's Cafe Star of India Himalayan Bistro 415 Restaurant Petra Grill Persimmon Please let us know others to add to the list.

We will usually meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday but may occasionally meet on a Friday. We will try new bars and restaurants as well as some more established places. Group size will be determined by the venue chosen but won’t normally exceed 15 people. When weather permits, we will look for venues with patios, beer gardens, or outdoor seating. The event is open to all Newcomers who register, and attendees will pay their own tab for food and beverages. Please drink responsibly and arrange for transportation as needed.

Each month we establish a theme for the various wines selected. We currently hold one event each month at a member's home to taste and discuss these wines. Because membership keeps growing and demand regularly outstrips capacities, it would be helpful if each member who attended the last wine tasting waits to register for 2 days to potentially allow more members the opportunity to participate. We welcome volunteer hosts. The hosts are automatically registered for their event. The $25-$30 fee at a member's home (which could increase as needed) covers the cost of the wines and light accompanying snacks, and other incidentals used in the events. Periodically, we may host a wine tasting at an external venue that can handle a larger group. Those events could be more expensive.

Let’s meet for a leisurely lunch and share info about this great area in which we’ve landed. It’s a great way to meet other newcomers and make new friends! We will meet at a different restaurant each month. Each newcomer takes care of their own bill.

This group usually meets on the first or second Friday of the month, but are open to hosts who want to do it at a different time. We play a variety of board or card games. You are welcome to bring your favorite game or come and play one of ours. Please bring a snack to share and a beverage for yourself. Singles or couples are welcome. We have recently started offering afternoon game 'nights'; please check the calendar for dates. We are always looking for hosts for both day and evening events.

Ladies Bunco is an easy dice game. No skill required! Please bring a snack or dessert to share and a beverage for yourself.

The group will meet the two mornings of each month (likely a Monday and Friday morning) to play. Beginner players who already know the basics are welcome to attend. If you know the rules but need time at the table to become more fluent and confident, this is your group! If you are an experienced player, this group is not for you. If you want to learn how to play Mah Jongg, this group is not for you. But please contact the coordinators, and we can get you in touch with a friendly instructor. This group is designed to provide a welcoming, no-pressure, supportive atmosphere so beginner players can practice and become more confident players. Each event will include a few experienced players to support novice players, answer questions, and help them hone their skills. The group will play according to the rules of the National Mah Jongg League, Inc., listed on the back of the National Mah Jongg League, Inc. card. Avoid the winter weekend crowds and join other Newcomers in carpooling for weekday skiing Front Range resorts. Resorts are selected based on member interest/conditions. Beginners to seasoned skiers/boarders are invited to participate. Our goal is to provide 2+ opportunities to ski monthly with early morning departures to maximize the day.

We hike year-round on most Wed mornings on regional hikes suited for beginning to intermediate level hikers. The trails are between 3 and 7 miles long and rated between easy and flat to moderately difficult with more elevation change and hilly terrain.

This group will hike twice a month on Tuesdays (weather permitting). Hikes will range from 4.5 -10 miles, with no more than 1700 feet elevation increase. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE EASILY ABLE TO COMPLETE THE WEDNESDAY HIKES BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE INTERMEDIATE ONES. Please bring plenty of water, your own snack/lunch, hiking poles, spikes (if it's snowy or icy), hats, gloves, layers, etc. Let's increase our stamina and share companionship and the beautiful variety of landscapes in Northern Colorado!

A player in this group typically has some racquet/paddle sport (tennis, racquetball, or ping-pong) experience and has typically been playing pickleball for more than a year. The player is often competitive and views the game not only as good exercise, but wants to improve their skill level, so wants to play against more experienced players. This group will focus on enjoying and learning about biking trails and biking lanes in and around the Ft Collins area. We will schedule monthly biking events and a few times a year, we will schedule biking informational meetings. An example of informational meeting might be: help members gain access to reasonable priced bikes and support learning to bike ride in Ft Collins. Bicycle maps and directions of routes will be available. There will be a ride leader and caboose rider at each ride. Note: By signing up for just bike rides, each newcomer assumes responsibility for their own safety, health, and bicycle functioning.

Play golf Wednesday mornings April through October at Southridge with other men new to Fort Collins.

Hikes occur every Monday throughout the year (all seasons). They range from moderate to challenging, and typically go 6-12 miles with 800 ft to 3,800 ft elevation gain. In the winter many of our higher elevation hikes make use of spikes or snowshoes.

Join other newcomers in developing and improving your mountain biking skills. Fort Collins and the surrounding area offer some fantastic trails right in our foothills to the west! Beginners to seasoned riders are invited to participate.

This group is for the pickleball player with no or limited playing experience or for players that are playing at or below a 3.0 rating/skill level. Your level can be estimated by reference to your DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) number or more commonly through your self assessment rating found in “More Info”. The player typically views the game as a recreational activity and plays primarily for sun, fun, and a low impact exercise.

Newcomers Saturday All-Play Pickleball Interest Group Saturday's sessions will be All-Play for both Novice and Intermediate combined - one sign-up for each session. Courts will be assigned to the level of play each session based on the roster. The session location/time will be posted on the Newcomers Calendar. Sign-ups and messages will be through the Pickleheads app. (Free app available wherever you get yours) Send an email to Trent Hudak at trentmh62@gmail.com with your name and mobile phone number. This is a walking group that meets the second Tuesday of every month to walk and talk our way through parks, natural areas and sculpture gardens in Ft Collins and the surrounding area. Our walks will vary in distance from 1.5 to 3 miles depending on location. Morning start times vary (8:30-9:30 or 9:30-10:30) due to the season. Walking surfaces vary as well so check the descriptions carefully. Come explore your new home and meet new people with this fun walking group. Walks will last an hour to an hour and a half. There is no charge for any of the locations we will explore. Registration is limited to 18.

Going Solo is for anyone—whether you are single, divorced, widowed, or happily coupled with a partner who prefers staying in—who wants to get out and experience concerts, restaurants, festivals, and local events. Please note: This is strictly a social group, not a dating or singles group. This Interest Group is for independent adults who love exploring the city and hanging out but prefer sharing the experience with great company. Show up solo, leave with friends!

This group is an eclectic combination of experiences created to Inspire, Engage, and Elevate (IEE) members in a variety of ways. The group’s overarching focus is to nurture community and encourage personal expansion and development. Current activities to start us out include, but are not limited to: Quarterly birthday celebrations, master gardener learning opportunities, “deeper dive” book discussions, casual cycling, Thanksgiving dinner, and Dec. cookie exchange.

This social group is designed for LGBTQAI+ to find new friends and places to enjoy in Fort Collins. We will aim to have at least one gathering per month.

This group is for Newest Newcomers, those who joined the club in the current year or the past calendar year. The sole purpose of this group is to get to know others who have recently joined in a social setting. The group is open to both men and women, couples, and singles.

Events that by their nature do not fit into any other Interest Group and/or events that are not coordinated by any other Interest Group. The all member summer picnic is an example of a special event.

Get together for a couple hours at a member's home and have fun meeting new folks. Bring an appetizer or dessert to share and a beverage for yourself. Make new friends and reunite with old ones!

Connect with other newcomers who share a love of travel, both domestic and abroad, while learning valuable travel resources and tips. Monthly meetings feature a wide variety of travel topics, ranging from talks by members about their personal travel adventures to presentations by invited travel professionals to discussions of best travel practices.

A crew of Newcomer volunteers works at the Food Bank of Larimer County twice a month: The first Tuesday of every month from 9 - 11:30 AM, and The second Friday of every month from 1 - 3 PM. Volunteers should wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear, and layered, comfortable clothes to sort, bag, shelve, or otherwise prepare food for distribution. Some activities require wearing a hairnet or gloves, which will be provided. Our numbers are limited to 8 volunteers.
